# Release notes

> What the hub gained in each version, and what it lets you ask Claude to do.

Each entry answers one question: what is different for you now. Mostly that is
something you can ask for that you could not ask for before.

## v0.10.0

### Licensing was added

A licensing feature was added to manage beta usage status.

## v0.9.3

### Claude sometimes saw a hub with no tools in it

Every so often Claude would answer as though this hub could do nothing at all,
then be fine again a moment later. The hub rebuilds its list of tools whenever
an account is added, edited or removed, and again on a refresh that runs every
six hours whether or not anybody has touched anything. It used to clear the
list before rebuilding it, and anything Claude asked in that gap got an empty
answer.

The list is never empty now. Nothing to turn on, and nothing for you to do.

## v0.9.0

### Mail that comes from the right address

A work mailbox rarely has one address. You answer support as one, sign
contracts as another, and the domain you bought sits over the top of a Gmail
account that still thinks of itself by its original name. Claude could write
any of those messages, but every one of them left under the same address, so
anything that had to come from `contracts@` or `support@` was a message you
finished by hand.

Now you say which one, in the same sentence as the rest of the request. Ask
Claude to reply as your support address and it does, under that address's own
name, in the thread it belongs to.

Claude is told which addresses your accounts own, so you can name one and it
will use it, or leave it out and get the address you normally send from.
Accounts with a single address are unaffected.

Each message goes out under the name Gmail has for that address, which is often
the same name on all of them until you change it. If two addresses arrive
looking identical, see [changing the name mail goes out under](/sending-name).

### Turning on every service at once

Adding an account meant ticking Gmail, then Calendar, then Drive, then the
rest, one at a time, and doing it again for the next account. **Select all**
does the lot, and turns them all back off again if you would rather start from
nothing.

## v0.8.0

### Sending without the round trip

Sending used to mean writing a draft, then asking for it to be sent. Reasonable
when you want to read it first, tedious when you already know what you want
said and just want it gone.

You can now ask for both at once. The two-step way is still there for anything
you would rather look at before it leaves.

<Warning>
  **Check what your Claude connector is allowed to do without asking you.**

  Sending is now labelled the way it should be: something that changes the world
  and cannot be taken back. Claude sorts tools by those labels, so the send
  tools now sit with the rest of your write access rather than by themselves. If
  you have told Claude it may use write tools without checking, that now
  includes sending mail.

  In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then this hub. You can set each
  tool on its own.
</Warning>

You can also see which version you are on, from the hub's own admin screen.

## v0.7.0

### Claude could not send mail at all

Google's Gmail tools stop at the drafts folder. Claude could read, search,
label and compose, and then the message sat there waiting for you to open Gmail
and press send. For anything routine, that last step was most of the work.

The hub closes that gap itself, so Claude can finish the job.

<Warning>
  **Sending stays off until you turn it on, per account.** Open the account in
  the hub's admin screen and allow it under Sending. It takes effect
  immediately.

  Nothing is granted behind your back: Google already trusted the hub with this
  when you connected the account, and the switch is about whether Claude may
  act on it. There is a way to keep that decision away from anyone who can log
  into the admin screen. Ask at
  [hub.magicmealkits.com](https://hub.magicmealkits.com) if you want it.
</Warning>

## Before this

Earlier versions were about connecting accounts and keeping them connected.
Nothing in them changed what you could ask for.
